Salary Survey
If you weren't here for my work series, then you might not know that I love to talk about the work place and how much we make - because if we’re going to be somewhere more than anywhere else in the world, we should be paid well and enjoy it.
Today, a conversation started on my timeline about the fact that salaries are never posted in job descriptions here and how that is honestly criminal. We already know that many jobs will lowball you when it comes to the offer. But aside from pay disparity, a lot of times people don’t know exactly what salary they should be asking for is because there is no standard salary and no salary information available.
With my blog and my discussions are salary, whether openly or amongst friends, I hope to move the needle on that, even if only incrementally. However, I recently discovered someone on TikTok who is literally compiling a master spreadsheet of positions around the world as well as their salary, vacation days and other benefits and I thought to myself that that was something I could create here.
I know that my network is small, but the reach of my blog and my online presence is a little big bigger. It’s my hope that tons of people will participate so that the next time someone goes on an interview, they will be armed with a little bit more information than they might have had before.
If you’re interested in participating, please fill out the survey. Not every question is mandatory but I do hope that you answer all of the questions for more openness and accuracy. Once I have compiled a decent amount of information, I’ll start publicizing the results. Once again the survey is completely anonymous, so there is no reason to lie and I have chosen not to asks people’s direct company to add to anonymity. Please do not skew the results by being untrue.
Lastly, please share the survey with anyone that you think is open to sharing that information. The more respondents we have, the better.
